Eye Care Gambia (ECG) is an International Non-Governmental Nonprofit Organization. The vision of ECG is to deliver excellent, and comprehensive quality eye care and ancillary services to the people of this African Nation at no cost.

ECG realized a need for additional help to deliver evidence base ophthalmic care where it was lacking from infants in arms to the eldest of patients.

ECG is looking to partner with the eye clinic in Kanifing which is already established.

Through our fundraising efforts, ECG’s intention is to grow clinics throughout the African nation.

Fundraising takes place year-round in the United States to reach our goals and dreams of delivering no cost eye care for all.

Established by a caring US doctor originally from Africa, ECG, encourages students from the medical school in The Gambia to study and intern with us to provide an excellent foundation for ECG clinics using local talent.

The post graduates would render care year-round after intensive training, when US doctors and interns are not available.

Established US doctors and interns as well as partnering US Universities would be encouraged and recruited to become part of our mission.

Eye Care Gambia is only the beginning of our mission. In the future, with the help of other established doctors, partnering universities and the generosity of mankind through fund-raising efforts, we strive to deliver specialties such as internal medicine, pediatrics and neurology which are all important to good ophthalmic care.
